Junior Crystal Scales of Justice

organized by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ)

Junior Crystal Scales of Justice

The School announces the launch of the fourth edition of the Junior Crystal Scales of Justice Prize, a joint initiative of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) of the Council of Europe and the Faculty of Law, Political Science and Management of the University of Strasbourg.

The Prize is open to students enrolled in a Master’s programme (first or second year) at a Law Faculty in one of the member States of the Council of Europe or in a CEPEJ observer State. The initiative complements the traditional Crystal Scales of Justice Prize, which aims to identify and highlight innovative and effective practices concerning the functioning of justice, judicial procedures, and the organisation of courts.

For the 2026 edition, participating teams will be asked to defend one of the projects awarded in the 2025 Crystal Scales of Justice Prize. Through legal analysis and research, teams will be required to identify the innovative elements of the assigned project and assess its possible application in a different context or another State. The full rules and supporting materials are available in the attached documents.

The deadline for the submission of applications for the Junior Crystal Scales of Justice Prize is 9 January 2026 (included).

Don't hesitate to participate !
