Descrizione dell'attività

The clinic aims to present the system of rights’ protection within the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights through lectures and a case by case approach led by European and inter-American legal practitioners. In this fifth edition, the Clinic will once again host the former European Court of Human Rights judge and professor at the Catholic University of Lisbon, Paulo Pinto de Albuquerque along, this year, with Professor Luciano Mariz Maia, Deputy Attorney General of Brazil and professor at the Centre for Legal Science at the Federal University of Paraiba. The choice to work with legal practitioners (particularly with members of the Judiciary) aims to allow students to measure themselves with the interpretative point of view of the European and Inter-American jurisdictions. The lessons will be held in English, while the materials used in English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
