The course is structured in a series of lectures and internship in order to provide knowledge of epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, symptoms, clinical examination, introduction to diagnosis and treatment of the main gastroenterological diseases.

Teaching Methods - Part A
-Frontal lessons supported by visual and audio-visual equipment.
-Internship in the outpatient clinic, inpatient hospital ward and endoscopy room
Type of Assessment - Part A
Oral examination of the knowledge of definition, epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic criteria and natural history of the gastroenterological diseases presented during frontal lessons and included in the study program.
The exam grade for this module will contribute for 1/3 to the arithmetic average of the final exam grade for C.I. di Specialita’ Medico-Chirugiche 1
