Guide to registering for compulsory elective exams
Compulsory elective modules are not included in the student’s statutory enrolment plan, but will be added when the study plan is submitted. As the study plan can only be submitted from the third year onwards, students must add the compulsory elective modules themselves. The courses involved are:
These courses can be added as follows:
- log in to your personal SOL page (online services) using your student ID and password;
- click on the ‘book’ button. This will open the page showing the exams in your study record;
- at the bottom of that page, click on ‘search for exam sessions’;
- on the page that appears, click on ‘search for exam sessions’ again;
- enter the name of the exam you wish to sit and click on ‘search’;
- if the exam session is bookable (no more than 14 days in advance), click on the ‘magnifying glass’ and then on ‘proceed’ to complete the booking.
- Once the booking has been made, the exam will remain linked to the student’s academic record
Exam Results Recording
The School of Law informs you that the new digital exam results recording system is now active, designed to make the recording of results in students’ academic records more efficient. Results will no longer be recorded on paper and subsequently sent to the Student Registries, but will be managed directly online via a dedicated platform. Lecturers and students will thus be able to complete the results recording process more quickly and with greater traceability.
Grade
Grades are always expressed out of thirty.
The examination is considered passed with a minimum mark of 18 out of 30. Where a candidate has achieved the highest mark, a distinction may be awarded by unanimous decision. Examination results are transmitted promptly, via an electronic procedure, by the Chair of the Examination Board. The types of examinations are governed, in accordance with the relevant regulations, by the Academic Regulations of the Degree Programme.
