Study Plans
The study plan may be submitted starting from the 3rd year; however, students are advised to submit it only once they have a clear understanding of the exams and elective activities they intend to take.
N.B. For students enrolled in Law for Sustainability and Security, the study plan may be submitted starting from the 2nd year.
Each student must submit an individual study plan to define their academic path. In other words, through the study plan, students choose how to complete their education beyond the compulsory courses, indicating the ECTS credits (CFU) related to elective courses included in their degree programme (and, where applicable, credits for freely chosen learning activities), to be selected according to the procedures specified on the webpages of each degree programme.
For the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree, with regard to elective courses, students are advised to agree on their selection with the lecturer from whom they intend to request supervision of their final thesis.
For elective exams and optional courses not yet included in the study plan, students may register by following the relevant guidelines.
Study plans can be submitted during the following periods:
FIRST PERIOD: 13 October – 14 November 2025
SECOND PERIOD: 1 – 30 April 2026
Submission of the study plan takes place online for all degree programmes and cohorts (the cohort corresponds to the academic year of enrolment and the applicable academic regulations indicated in the student record), with the exception of:
- students with inactive or irregular enrolment in the current academic year;
- students enrolled in degree programmes or cohorts for which online submission is not предусмотрed for the current academic year;
- students who have transferred, changed programme, or shortened their academic career;
- students who have participated in international mobility programmes (Erasmus, etc.);
- students with already approved individual study plans;
- graduating students who have already submitted a paper-based study plan;
- students intending to follow the “Law and Accounting” track.
In cases where a paper-based study plan is required, students should refer to the instructions published on the website of their degree programme.
Before starting the online procedure, students are advised to:
- watch the tutorial;
- carefully read the Guide to completing the online Study Plan.
Note: Where a track choice is предусмотрed, it must be made within the new online procedure before submitting the actual study plan.
IMPORTANT: If the submitted study plan is rejected by the committee, the student may submit a new one within the following timeframes:FIRST
PERIOD: 16–23 November 2025
SECOND PERIOD: 1 – 10 May 2026

Support and reporting issues
- For assistance with submitting the study plan, students may send an email from their institutional account (name.surname@stud.unifi.it) to giurisprudenza.pianistudio@unifi.it, specifying in the subject “Study Plan” and including in the message: student ID number, degree programme, and a detailed description of the issue encountered.
- For issues of a strictly technical nature, students may use the Help Desk service.
Extraordinary amendment procedure for graduating students
Article 17, paragraph 4 of the University Teaching Regulations provides that: “In cases of necessity and urgency, duly justified, students may submit a request to amend an approved study plan at least thirty days before submitting the final thesis application to the Student Administration Office.”
Approval of such requests lies with the Degree Programme Council, which will assess whether the conditions of necessity and urgency justify the use of this extraordinary procedure.
