Teaching Language
The course of professor Graziani will be explained in Italian language; the courses of Marisa da Silva Valente and of the language assistent will be explained in Portuguese
Course Content
The course focuses on: 1.linguistic and cultural notions about the Portuguese language of Classic age; 2.Portuguese grammar, phonetic, sintax to the comprehension of written texts and oral communication skills suitable for the students of the second year at Triennio.

Learning Objectives
The course is addressed to the students of the second year of Portuguese Language at Triennio. The course aims to offer:
- a deepling acquisition of linguistic and cultural aspects of the Portuguese language in Classic age;
-acquisition of a Portuguese linguistic terminology;
-an academic methodology of study;
-acquisition of grammatical competences and communicative oral and written abilities: grammatical exercises, reading and comprehension of texts and of cultural and daily topics (B1/B2)
Prerequisites
It is required the knowledge of Portuguese language.
Teaching Methods
In addition to the course of prof. Graziani (30 hours) students are required to attend the course of prof. Carla Marisa da Silva Valente (60 hours). Lessons will be supported by audiovisive material, grammatical exercises and language exercises based on written and oral texts.
Further information
The lessons held by prof. da Silva Valente are in both semesters, whereas the course held by prof. Graziani is in the second semester.
Type of Assessment
At the end of each semester (January and June) and in September, there will be a written exam with the language assistant, for which on-line booking is not requested. The written exam will be followed by the oral exam with prof. da Silva Valente and the oral exam with prof. Graziani. The final evaluation includes the media of the acquired results in the several parts of the course. The written exam consists of a dictation, grammatical exercises, comprehension of a text. The oral exams consist of: grammatical questions, reading and comprehension of texts/articles, questions on the linguistic and cultural deepening theme regarding the Portuguese language, to verify the knowledge of the addressed linguistic concepts and the ability to properly use the Portuguese linguistic terminology.
Course program
The course aims to offer: 1.a focus on the Classic age of the Portuguese language, through the lecture of some literary texts in the Portuguese language of the Classic age to bring students closer to the Portuguese writing of that period; 2.the learning of Portuguese grammar for the students of the second year at Triennio, together with lecture and comprehension of equally appropriate written texts.
