Learning Objectives
The course intends to make the students acquire the knowledge of the historical evolution of some of the principals European political systems of the nineteenth and twentieth century, following a comparative approach. Particular attention will be paid to the english, french, german, italian and russian cases.
At the end of the course the student will achieve the critical faculties in order to distinguish and value – in a long term view – persistencies and changes of those systems.

Type of Assessment
The final exam has the purpose of ensuring the acquisition of the skills and knowledge provided by the objectives. The exam is about an oral test, a conversation whith the professor in order to verify the elements learned during the study and the student's capacity of independently handling the period and the themes treated.
