Pumps, valves, energy balance.
HEATING PLANTS
Main types of plants, boilers, burners, heat recovery from exhaust smokes, chimneys. Expansion systems. Safety and control equipments – Italian Standard “INAIL” Regulation valves. Automatic control of the heating plants. Heating equipment: radiators, convectors, Floor/ceiling heating systems.
HEATING, VENTILATING, AIR CONDITIONING PLANTS
Chillers, heat pumps, refrigerants. Compressors, evaporators, condensers, cooling towers. Humid air thermodynamic processes. Fans, Air ducts, Air Handling Units, dampers, air supply and return equipment. Common heating ventilation and air conditioning plant (HVAC) configurations. Air handling units: single zone and multi zone; Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems; Constant Air Volume (CAV) systems; Regulation and control of the heating and cooling plant systems; Legionella pneumofila and Cooling Plants.
