Course Content
The course focuses on the entire area of Eurasia from the 5th to 15th centuries, focusing, especially on the interconnected history, and commercial, military and cultural interactions of the great empires of the region, such as the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantium), Sassanian Empire, the Islamic Caliphate, various ruling dynasties in China, the Mongol expansion and the world of Slavia Orthodoxa.
