Obiettivi Formativi
The training objectives of the sip are to train designers capable of:
- Design the behavior of products with respect to users in contexts;
- Use the advanced technological paradigm to shape product behaviour
- Integrate interaction and service design;
- Assessing the quality of an interactive product (through the application of innovative and multidisciplinary evaluation methods.
Prerequisiti
Knowledge of English, basic knowledge of product design, service and communication.
Metodi Didattici
Theoretical lectures and design exercises in the classroom (methods to define users' needs, create and prototype their own ideas and test them).
Altre Informazioni
The course offers insights into digital technologies and the most innovative areas in which they are evolving today. In particular the theoretical lessons will be useful to define the current level of development of interactive and related products, reactive environments, tangible and multimodal interfaces, personal artifacts, and to trace possible margins for innovation.
Modalità di verifica apprendimento
Students' learning will be evaluated through intermediate tests (project exercises) that will guide the development of a final project.
The project will be reviewed during reviews with the teachers. An oral exam will integrate the theoretical contents faced in class.
Programma del corso
The Digital Design course covers all applications of Information and Communication Technology design: interactive products, responsive environments, mobile services, Internet of Things systems, within a multidisciplinary approach that includes lessons on design by experience and lessons on usability and accessibility in particular of the user interface (UI).
The Digital Design module will address, in particular, the following topics:
- Basic theoretical knowledge about Interaction Design and Human Computer Interaction;
- Theoretical and practical aspects of communication and use of digital content on the web
- Theoretical knowledge and design strategies for User Interface (UI) design;
- Legislative and technical aspects for the development of usable and accessible UI and interactive systems;
- UI and User Experience and evaluation methods;
- Prototyping and digital product validation.
The training objectives of the sip are to train designers capable of:
- Design the behavior of products with respect to users in contexts;
- Use the advanced technological paradigm to shape product behaviour
