Subject of the course is the Design application of Human-Centred Design / User Experience approach. Particular attention will be paid to the role of knowledge and methods of this approach in the design development process of industrial products.
Design theme for 2019-20 is Design for the health, care and social inclusion, with particular attention to the Home Care field.

Learning Objectives
Objectives of the course is the deepening of theoretical and methodological content of Human-Centred Design/User Experience and their testing on specific project issues.
The class attendance is required.
Teaching Methods
The course will consist of lectures, meetings for the presentation and discussion of cases in the study, and in the development of design exercises.
Type of Assessment
There will be intermediate checks developed on personal assistance products made available during the lessons:
- first: Task Analysis
- secondl: scenarios
- third: selecting and analyzing home care products
- fourth: identifying and discussing project requirements and presenting concepts
- fifth (conclusive): development of the final project. The object of the tests are the ability to apply the content learned during the lessons to the development of the basic analysis and the setting of the project.
Course program
The Lab objective is to develop a project that, starting from the principles and content of Human-Centered Design and User Experience, allowing to integrate the ergonomic analysis and assessment tools in the development process of industrial products.
The lessons subjects will be the role of ergonomic knowledge and methodological tools in the design process of industrial products,
The theoretical and methodological content of Ergonomics for Design will be deepened through exposure and discussion of case studies project aimed at the development of the theme design.
Through the project will also be verified in particular the knowledge and the main evaluation and design methods of Human-Centred Design and User Experience, considering the physical, cognitive-percettive and social components of interaction between individual-environment-product.
