Learning Objectives
The course M-PSI/04 Educational Psychology is functional to the
acquisition of CFU for the B sector (Psychology) of the FIT program
(program of initial education and training for secondary school teachers).
The learning objectives of the course are:
Knowledge and understanding: Knowing the main theoretical principles of
the human mind, developmental processes, school adjustment processes
with specific focus on adolescents. Knowing the cognitive, emotional,
motivational, and relational processes involved in school context.
Knowing the typical and atypical developmental trajectories. Knowing the
group, socio-relational and intercultural dynamics involved in school
context.
Applying knowledge and understanding: Recognizing the main processes
in developmental and educational psychology, and identifying the
components and evaluate them in relation to the school context. Ability
to measure class group relationships, class
climate and to relate with children and adults. Ability to measure in an
objective way learning processes. Identifying and implementing the more
appropriate ways to observe, evaluate, and intervene on the main
processes in developmental and educational psychology; ability to
analyse a research paper.
Making judgements: critical and involved attitude during discussions,
group activities and lesson.
Communication skills: ability to communicate the main components of

scenarios in developmental and educational psychology. Activities on
