The course will focus on the content and application of the principle of inter-generational equity, with a specific focus on climate change strategic litigation.
Students can prepare for the exam on the lectures' notes and the materials indicated during the lectures (and available through the Moodle platform). Student will have to search for other materials as part of their own research activity that will be presented during the seminar phase. Active participation during the seminar phase as well as an oral presentation and a written relation are expected for attending student. Attendance at the course is strongly recommended and encouraged.

Learning Objectives
Knowledge: The course will help students to reach an in-depth knowledge of a specific topic, and the ability to critically assess the international normative framework and the international jurisprudence
Capabilities: the course develops students’ ability to perform a juridical assessment and to communicate their main results in an effective and high-professional way.
Competences: Attending students will develop their competences in making legal research and preparing and oral presentation and a written paper.

Type of Assessment
Attending students: 'active' participation and the results of the work done during the seminar will be assessed.
Non-attending students: the exami will consist in a written test.
