Adhesion theories; wettability and penetration; classification of adhesives based on their technological properties; factors affecting the adhesion (due to working tools, wood characteristics, process parameters); factors affecting the coatability (due to wood characteristics, process parameters); mechanics of wood joints; methods of technological characterization of adhesives and paintings; wood modification (thermotreatment, acetylation): processes and technological characteristics of the treated material.
