The first part of the course is devoted to the study of microeconomics, with particular reference to the behaviour of consumers and firms, and to market equilibrium.
The second part will focus on macroeconomic issues such as national accounts, GDP, financial markets and the equilibrium between aggregate demand and supply

This course in Economics aims at providing the basic notions of
microeconomics and macroeconomics which are necessary to understand
the working of modern globalized economies.Special attention will be
given to those features of microeconomics which are more relevant for
law students,such as:externalities,public goods and asymmetric
information,non perfectly competitive markets and antitrust policies,the
role of the State in the markets,firm theory and corporate governance.

For those who attend the course on a regular basis (i.e. at least 70% of the lessons): partial exam on the microeconomic part of the course to be held in november and partial exam on the macroeconomic to be held in december

The examination takes place in written form, with the exception of single motivated exceptions.
In appeals with a limited number of participants, the teacher may prefer the oral exam. In the case of the oral exam, the teacher will communicate on the bulletin board and on the moodle the schedule of the interviews.
The votes are communicated to the students by e-mail notification on their institutional address. Those who do not intend to accept the vote, must explicitly reject it online within 48 hours, in order not to risk that the rule of silence-assent is applied by the secretariat.
