Learning Objectives - Last names A-D
The class is aimed to acquire the basic knowledge to participate with adequate skills and competences within the different roles assigned to the architect within the building process of public interest projects.
Such objective belongs to the wider aim to understand how the building process works today, being a sequence of organised and interrlated ativities along the project life cycle since the programming, planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, decommissioning and reuse or recycling of large projects accordingly to the European digital vision and regulation. The lessons show the law framework and the technical basis to an effective approach to the public interest projects.
Learning Objectives - Last names E-M
The Project Design Management Course is aimed at providing technical skills to be applied with efficiency, effectiveness and reliability in the context of professional practice. Specifically the objective is to educate students so they acquire the knowledge necessary to consciously deal with the digital management of the information process in the construction sector and to understand the concepts, strategies, tools and techniques through a strategic/managerial approach to the process of streamlining activities through the use of specific electronic processes with particular reference to advanced modeling models.

Class is based on theoretical lessons, lectures, seminars and meetings with the stakeholders.
Students must confirm their participation to the class as soon as it starts. No delay in registration is allowed because of organisational matters. When e-class registration is confirmed students are expected to actively participate in the activity to achieve the objectives stated by the Program. More involved students will be accredited by +5% at finals evaluation. Attending the class is not sufficient to get the credits if the students do not follow up to study. Several wright tests will be used to verify the preparation along the classes.
The evaluation will be calculated by an algorithm usind the intermediate tests results. The class is crowded (generally the double of expected students), please let attend in time, do no expect to have design review individual sessions, let use the available communication channels dedicated to the class students, FAQ and Question and Answer session will be public.
All needed texts and sources are availlable and open access.

The course includes lectures and bibliographic learning integrated with design activities and practical applications that the students can carry out choosing between:
- no attending students, for non-attending students
- attending students, for attending students
No attending students. The teaching method includes theoretical study activities for the acquisition of basic knowledge through the proposed text books, selected lectures, IT tools and practical design activities agreed with the professor, to be carried out independently with periodic individual reviews.
Supervised study relates to theoretical study activities to learn the basic knowledge through educational communications which will develop the topics covered by the course. It will be up to the student to develop the necessary insights from the texts indicated in the bibliography.
The educational objectives in the ‘supervised study’ mode are also achieved through participation in practical learning activities (exercises) and assessments made during the course.

Honesty and behavior
To avoid any misunderstanding on students expectations regarding different didactics methods adopted in other courses, have to be underlined the following rules:
- evaluation tests have to be done individually by their own by students
- Demonstrated evidence of copying (exactly the same presentation, same wording of sentences, etc.) will result in zeros for each paper or test with this evidence
- students must introduce their self at the class start , none will be accepted when the registration is close
- students do not facing the tests series aren't admitted to the oral final
- the oral final must be done in term otherwise the tests series must be repeated at next term

Organizational method
Enrolment – ONLY those who meet the conditions will be accepted on the course, assigned by the secretarial office on the basis of the first letter of their surname. Students wishing to attend are required to confirm their enrolment by filling in the appropriate “form” from the professor.
Attendance - Students are NOT required to attend.
Office hours - Appointments with the professor in charge of the course can be arranged by contacting the following email address:
alessandra.cucurnia@unifi.it
All information on the course will be communicated during the official hours and made available online.
The lesson timetable divided by topic and the practical design activities can be found under the online course activated on the MOODLE platform (http://e-l.unifi.it) where the educational material can also be downloaded.
Students are advised NOT to buy any lecture notes loaded on the Skuola.net platform of which the teacher does not know the content and therefore does not guarantee. All the educational material necessary for the preparation of the exam is provided free of charge by the teacher who is also available to provide any type of clarification.
