The course aims to first deepen the grammatical knowledge of Amharic with particular focus on verbs and nouns, secondly to deepen the expression and the comprehension ability of the language.

Teaching Methods
The course is carried out by delivering lectures, making exercises, readings and making translations of different texts from different books and news papers.
Type of Assessment
Oral (or written if there is a request) final examination.
Course program
Reading in Amharic, translation from progressively more complex Amharic texts into Italian. There will be in-depth analysis on syntactic and morphological elements, nominal and verbal patterns, pronominal affixes, verb to be which indicate tense, forms of verbs which indicate aspects.
