Learning Objectives
The course aims to promote:
- Knowledge of the areas of investigation of environmental psychology, of its theoretical and methodological approaches and of its application areas;
- The understanding of main psychological issues related to the philosophies and policies for the management of environmental resources in the contemporary globalized world;
- Critical reflection on the themes and problems related to environmental quality, and awareness of their importance;
- Competence in methods of detection and management of ecological and environmental issues, in a psychological-social perspective;
- The ability to deepen the subject autonomously and to transmit useful knowledge, to propose effective initiatives and propose hypotheses of psychological and social interventions aimed both at promoting responsible behavior proambientali, and at primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of (individual and collective) harmful habits and attitudes, to the physical, social and ecological environment.

The architectural psychology and its applications (reading and design of landscapes, and of residential, work, education, prisons, nursing, religion, leisure, exposure places).
Personal space, territoriality and population increase.
Environmental stress and restorativeness. Affordances, architectural barriers and prosthetic environments.
The primary, secondary and tertiary habits and attitudes, individual and collective, harmful to the environment on the physical, social and ecological. The promotion of healthy and ecological behaviors.
