Stories, classic and contemporary short novels for children deal with existential problems related to schools, but also represent a motivation to the formation of identity and in training to read.

Knowledge and understanding: knowledge and understanding the historical and institutional evolution of the children’s literature; knowledge of contemporary fiction for children, authors, the most significant works, themes and language.

Making the judgment: develop, through the knowledge of the current publishing production for children, capacity of critical-interpretatation in the children’s literature.
Communication skills: Knowing and using the disciplinary lexicon.
Learning ability: Knowing how to build an autonomous path of reading and topics.
Prerequisites
Interest in the subject; previous readings of classics from children's
literature; any experience of teaching reading; knowledges of the world
of school and education.
Teaching Methods
Class lessons; exercises (writing reviews); thematic workshops and
reading 0-6 books; films thematically related to children's.

The examination will be oral and written form.
The written exam consists of a test with closed and open answers about the books in the syllabus.
The examination procedures are the same for attending and non-attending students.
